PARK AND COACHING
Two of the most important things about any camp are the quality of the park and the quality
of the coaches. COC has both things nailed. The best park on earth and the best coaches you will
find at any camp. The coaches are a mix of hungry up and coming riders and pros that don’t know
the meaning of jaded.
The only winter quality summer park
At Camp of Champions our camp is designed with lines and flow. We design it to ride
like an all time winter park. It just happens to be summer. According to Transworld Snowboarding,
Whistler Blackcomb has the fifth best park in the world. The word by all our coaches and visiting
pros when they rode the 2007 COC Park, "COC - The best park in Whistler for two years in a row… winter
or summer". You know the park is "REALLY THAT GOOD" when all the pros rank it better than almost
every resort on earth’s winter park. That is our goal for COC. "The best park in the universe every
summer" If it just happens to be better than most winter parks… well that’s OK too.
Steve Petrie and Arena Snowparks are contracted to build the COC Park. The only design
parameters we give Steve is "The park has to be the best park on earth for everyone from
beginners to pros and be photogenic". It's a tall order but luckily Steve is also the go
to guy for the Olympics, FIS, ski resorts and event directors all over the world. All
winter as he builds parks, he takes the best ideas from each of them and fresh ideas he
just dreamt up and pours it all into the COC Park.
When you dream every night for 10 months about making the best park on earth, it's not
surprising when that is exactly what gets built. That is COC and Arena Snowparks.
The COC Park is private and is never shared with the public or any other camp.
