Camp A is Adult Week at COC!
In 2010 our “Adult Camp” continues and will be even more fun this year. Every year we get so many calls from adults wondering if they are to old to come to camp, if we accept adults, if they’ll have fun, etc, etc, even though we thought we made it obvious enough that anyone can come to camp. It’s a snowboard, ski and mountain bike camp. It’s not a kids camp. Maybe it’s because we live here that we thought it was obvious that if you are an adult and want to come to Whistler to go to camp that it automatically said you weren’t too old, and that you would have fun. We of course accept adults. Who else can our coaches hang out with at night when all the under age campers have gone to bed?
Like Minded People.
It’s amazing how many life long friends have been made at COC. It doesn’t matter how old you are, what you do for a job “Back Home”, what kind of car you drive, or where you live. When you come to camp you are instantly among like-minded people where the most important question about you is, do you snowboard, ski or mountain bike?
Adult Coaching Groups & One-On-One Coaching.
At COC we usually separate campers according to age and ability when they come to camp. For Adult Camp it’s simply by ability. Everyone is 19 when they join The Camp of Champions no matter what your real age is. Because of the grouping it’s always the most fun and you learn the most. The group sizes are anywhere from 1:4 to a maximum of 1:8. It all depends on your ability. The closer you are to starting to ride park the smaller your group. The more your ability to “Send It” the closer your group size will be to 1:8 as you will be sessioning bigger features. All the coaching is One-On-One so no matter what your ability level you learn the most possible in your time with us.

Adult After Riding Activities.
The town of Whistler is world famous as a place to have a good time as an adult. It’s actually what put it on the map, that and the best snowboarding, skiing and biking by far. The Camp of Champions has been ratcheting up the fun of summer in Whistler since 1989 and when you come to camp you will get all that insiders knowledge on what to do, where to go and how to have the most fun.
Accommodation Options.
One of the cool things about Adult Camp is you can pick where you want to stay. We have two different accommodation options with Adult Camp. Stay with us in the spartan university style accommodations of The Dorm or chose one of the many hotels down in town. Both have their advantages. With us in The Dorm, you are closer to the fun of being in camp and the excitement of The Compound. Stay down in town and you are closer to the excitement of the village of Whistler and everything that makes evenings and nights as fun as the daytime. Either way you will have the most fun ever when you come to camp.
No Curfew For Adults.
Part of being an adult is being responsible for yourself. If you want to stay out late, go to the bar, go out dancing, hang out on a patio till midnight you are more than welcome to. Camp is what you make it. Forewarned is forearmed - when you stay out late at COC it seriously cuts into how much you learn the next day. Camp wears you out. We recommend using most of your energy getting better at your sport. Having said that, it is hard to ignore how fun Whistler is at night. Whistler isn’t famous for nightlife for no reason! That is also why we throw a huge party on the last night of camp so that everyone that has been saving up their "Going Out" can have an epic night with almost all the coaches. Our camp parties are the nights of the summer.
