BIKES TUNED TO YOU

The Sickest Bikes in Whistler

Every year we like to do things that make people think... "What! Are you kidding me?" This year the change that fits that billing is new brands we've added to our stable and the specs that all the COC bikes are built to. Our Ride Along Mechanic® spent all winter talking to companies to make sure that when you ride one of our bikes you get to ride the best DH, Freeride and DJ bikes anywhere, spec'd out with a World Cup Rider caliber build.

This is a list the companies parts you will find on our bikes this year. You can use the parts to build your dream bike in your head or just click on brand of bike you want to ride at the top of the page. Your camp bike is spec'd better than a lot of pro riders bikes.

Ride more of the best bikes on earth

The list of "Best things about camp" just got a little longer. We've expanded our fleet of bikes this summer so now you can ride the sickest bikes from Transition, Banshee, Santa Cruz, Morewood, Spank, NS and Llama. We are working to add brands to our stable of bikes so you can ride and compare so when you hit your local shop, you can get exactly the right bike for your riding style. Every summer we get brand new bikes and they are tuned for you at the start of each session. Usually only the pros get to ride a bike tuned for their weight, size and riding style. At COC we want you to have every advantage you can get to learn faster. A new bike is one. A tuned bike is two. Three is a selection of bikes so you can find the bike that suits your style of riding.

Know Fast - Be Fast

We worked hard to add part sponsors to our already incredible stable of bike sponsors so that when you ride our bikes you can learn what makes them fast. Shaun Palmer who used to be one of our snowboard coaches, says "You can't be as fast as possible until you learn what makes your bike fast for you" so we wanted to help everyone learn what they liked and how changing components could help them get fast. Ride a TR-450 with Maxxis High Rollers then try the same bike with Ardents or Minions. Ride a bike with a Fox shock and then ride the same bike with an X-Fusion shock. Then try the same thing on a Santa Cruz V-10, Morewood Makulu or a Banshee Legend Mark II. Not sure what kind of bike you like for jumping? How about trying Spank Tweet Tweets, NS Bikes Metropolis 1, 2 and 3?

Tuned Bikes®

"Strontium Dog" our Ride Along Mechanic® gets up every day at 5:00AM to tune the bike you are going to ride to your weight and riding style. Imagine how much better you will ride when you are on a bike tuned to your weight, with the suspension, sag and fork rebound tuned for you. This is usually only something that the pros get to experience. Every evening after riding Strontium Dog goes over every bike with a fine toothed comb making sure the bike is in perfect shape for the next day. This keeps mechanicals to a minimum so you don't miss any runs in the park. EPIC! While he's doing the evening tune campers are welcome to drop in to the bike room and learn how to work on their bikes. "Droppin' knowledge like Gallileo dropped an orange."

Ride Along Mechanic®

Again this year we have our buddy Strontium Dog as our Ride Along Mechanic. The only thing worse than flatting or blowing something up on your bike is the time wasted fixing it. Now if you have a "mechanical" it's mellow. Strontium Dog will swap bikes with you so you can keep riding, then after he's fixed your bike, catch up to you and swap you back. No more wasted runs. At COC our bikes are brand new not rentals, so your bike is less likely to breakdown to begin with. At night Strontium Dog will be tuning every bike and making sure that your bike is perfect and still feeling like a brand new bike every morning.
