We’ve added new coaches, with names and skills that will blow you away. That is, if you like riding with four of the top 15 finishers in the 2009 Monster Energy Slopestyle at Crankworx. We’ve also added more coaches than just those four. We added riders who also have the magic combo - great personalities, the ability to ride like gods, coach like genius’s and crack jokes like comedians, so that the Camp of Champions experience is better than ever.
The coaching line up for summer 2010 features a broad spectrum of riders and riding styles, so that no matter what you want to get out of camp we have a coach that rules at that kind of riding and can teach you to rip it as well.
2010 Camp of Champions Coaches
Gareth Dyer
Head Coach and legend
Gareth has been in it since the very beginning of freeriding, not only is he an amazing rider and coach, he’s super fun to just be around. Having Gareth as head coach inspires everyone, coaches and campers to ride harder and have more fun.
Greg Watts
Greg had an awesome part in NWD 10 and is the 2009 Monster Energy Crankworx Slopestyle Champion, need I say more? To say we're excited to have him on board for 2010 is an understatement. Learning from Greg will be epic. Greg's sponsor Haro will be giving away a complete bike while Greg is at camp. That is sick. Right now it's Camp A that Greg will be at COC.
Andrew Taylor
2009 Crankworx Slopestyle 13th place, and organizer of the Andrew Taylor Dirt Jump Showdown in SF, and an amazing rider with the Crankworx results to prove it. Andrew rides for Marin and they are giving away AT's Alcatraz during Camp A as well. I think Camp A is going to be the session to come to.
Mike Hopkins
The best way to get an idea of Mike’s skills is check out his website or this cover of Dirt Mag.
Alan Hepburn
A mainstay at camp for the last few years, Alan always throws it down ripping everything in the Bike Park and the Air Dome. His part in "What’s Next" says more then we ever can, so check it out. Alan's sponsor Banshee supplies a frame a week for a lucky camper to win. Don't miss it.
Casey Groves
Casey joined us last year as a coach and blew everyone’s doors off with his riding skills. Always fun to ride with and a super nice guy that will show you “How it’s done.”
Andi Wittmann
Andi throws down hard and will show everyone a thing or two in the park and the Air Dome. It’s going to be super fun riding with Andi all summer. If you want to learn how to crack jokes in German he can help you with that too.
Darcy Turenne
Darcy is so fun to hang out with that sometimes you forget that she is such a good rider. Then she reminds you. Then you will never forget again.
Kelly McGarry
Kelly was our first addition to the 2010 line up. Kelly fits in well with everyone here, rides like a maniac, and super nice. Not bad at contests either with a 2009 Crankworx Slopestyle 9th place under his belt. Also likes to blow stuff up.
Ryan Berrecloth
Ryan had a sick part in "Roam" with mad skills as well as a good head on his shoulders. Also knows a thing or two about candy. Ryan will be showing you not just how to throw down in the park and Air Dome but help you learn how to get sponsors to throw down – for you. He’ll coach your riding and on the “The Industry”.
Tammy Donahugh
In addition to being really fast, Tammy knows how to teach you to be fast. She won the Women's Pro Dual Slalom at Colorado Crankworx so you know she has skills.
Cho Cho
Cho Cho came to camp as a camper and schooled everyone when it came to speed and flow. We asked him to come back and coach. That was a few years ago. He's definitely someone you want to have coach you if you want to get fast, fast.
